Oh the 90s, wasn’t life easy when the only dilemma we had was whether to tune in to Top of the Pops or catch up on a bit of Friends. Whether you loved it or hated it, the 90s is a decade in fashion that brought about some trends that we simply cannot forget. Don’t get us wrong, there are certainly some questionable styles that well and truly deserve to stay in the past (butterfly hair clips- need we say anymore?), but luckily for you we’ve sorted the bad from the good. In a time where celebrity style was everything, let’s take a fashionable trip down memory lane and look at the women who did it best.

The pop culture queen of the 90s may have had some questionable fashion choices back in the day but one thing we can be thankful for is how she introduced tomboy glam into our lives. Those ‘Baby One More Time’ side popper trousers have made it back into our wardrobes and boy, are we happy about it. These are greatest solution to comfy cool and also nails the sports-luxe trend with a slimline contrasting side stripe. We’re not quite ready to get our whole midriff out just like Britney, so this staple ribbed white crop top is the perfect alternative that is just as flattering. Throw it back even more and pair with some chunky dad trainers that finish off the sporty look with mesh panelling and a front toggle.

The ultimate cool girl of the 90s needs a mention, so don’t be clueless when it comes to getting this look right. Out of the many things Cher Horowitz taught us from her style bible, the mantra we live by is that you cannever be overdressed, so it’s time to feel fancy and be looking your ‘most capable’ all day every day. If this check peplum skirt and white feather tee combo doesn’t give you ultimate Clueless vibes, we don’t know what will. The neutral colourway and peplum shape of this skirt makes it super easy to style anything with, whilst the crisp white feather trimmed top with long sleeves brings sass that Cher would be proud of. Who knew feathers could be so easy to wear? As if! We couldn’t forget the flatform craze of the 90s now could we, so team this outfit with our suede finish flatforms and you’ll be looking preppy with added attitude.
